» Vince McMahon was said to have been thrilled with the Chris Jericho-HBK-Rebecca segment from SummerSlam. Vince was very pleased with the segment backstage and even had the angle open RAW this week. It was a VERY well done segment.

» CM Punk was over HUGE in his hometown of Chicago, IL. Mike Adamle - not so much!

» Pro Wrestling NOAH star Takeshi Morishima won a dark match over Charlie Haas prior to RAW. He's a HUGE international star and it was a little surprising to see him get a WWE tryout. He even won the match which usually never happens with talent that have not been signed. Morishima used the old Orient Express theme song. Morishima was also a former ROH champion.

» William Regal beat Jay ? in a dark match prior to RAW as well.

» Several members of the Chicago Cubs were sitting ringside at RAW and were shown on camera.

» Harley Race was also at RAW and was shown briefly on camera during the opening segment as well as later on during the show.

» There were 14,597 fans in attendance at RAW.
