Backstage Update: The Rock To Win The WWE Title?

Most have assumed that The Rock will defeat CM Punk at the Royal Rumble to win the WWE Title. While that is the popular opinion at this time, there have been other scenarios pitched where Punk would retain the title in some controversial fashion.

Word is that The Rock has been promised the WWE Title; so one scenario is that Rock could lose to Punk at the Rumble and then compete in the Elimination Chamber and win the title there. The plan would then be for him to defend the title at WrestleMania against John Cena, who may be the one to win the Royal Rumble this year. There are also rumors that CM Punk vs. The Undertaker will take place at WrestleMania 29.

    The Rock is going to lose to CM Punk then he’s going to enter into the Royal Rumble match and win. Thats going to set up a match against the champ (assuming its still CM Punk) at Mania and The Rock will win the title at Wrestlemania.

    U dumbass rock wont win it at mania hes gonna have one more run up to mania whether it starts at rumble or chamber after mania rock will be fading away again

    Personally I don’t see it as a good move for rock to win the title. As good as he still is his limited schedule would discredit punks title reign completely. How can you have somebody win the big one who has only wrestled a handful of times in the last decade. Also in the likely event that hes likely to win the belt hes only going to drop it to Cena at mania. It just seems too predictable and besides that John Cena has been far more entertaining without the belt, he simply does not need it for now at least.

    Wow Wwe Is Just Going Down Down Hill. TNA Is More interesting. And What’s up With That 3 Man Team The Shield. If I Was Marvel I Would Hella Sue Wwe. Now If I Was Wwe I Would Bring Back TV-14. And Have More Interesting Story Lines, And Use All My Roster Instead Of Using The Big Name Super stars. They Should Make Team Hell No A Bad Team Then A Stupid Good Them.
