– WWE Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine, who was cut by the company, is scheduled to start working for the WWC promotion in Puerto Rico. He’s also been working the indy circuit as of late.
– A series of contracts recently expired within Ring of Honor in June and most talent have all signed new one-year deals with the company. Some of the bigger names with contracts expiring included Michael Elgin and current World Champion Kevin Steen. The company also learned a hard lesson in terms of putting titles on talent with deals set to expire after the Kenny King situation.
– As noted last week here on the website, the Sinclair Broadcast Group has announced the purchase of seven television stations for $452.5 million. This will add numerous new markets for the weekly Ring of Honor show. Sinclair plans to buy six TV stations in Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida and Kansas.
