New NWA Champion Crowned – Details Inside

Rob Conway defeated Satoshi Kojima at the Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion in Las Vegas on Monday to regain the National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship.

Kojima had won the title from Conway at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s “Wrestle Kingdom 8” event back on January 4th.

    Once upon a time, that meant everything. NWA world title was the most prestegious title in wrestling. Second was the AWA world title. WWF title was always considered a regional title until about ’86 when landscape changed, because it was mostly defended on the east coast and face champ rarely wrestled other face challengers.
