Backstage Update: Sara Del Ray’s WWE Future
By Ryan Clark on July 14, 2012
Sara Del Rey, who was recently signed by WWE, was brought in for several reasons. WWE wants to bring in more female wrestlers who aren’t typical models to counter former Divas like Maxine, Kelly Kelly, and the Bella Twins leaving.
Del Rey is also expected to have a major role in training and developing the other Divas, a sign that WWE may be moving the women’s division away from the sex aspect and more towards actual wrestling ability.
Del Rey currently has two more independent bookings which will conclude by mid-August, after which she will begin with WWE.
