Dolph Ziggler On How Rock Is Helping WWE Product

During a recent radio appearance, Dolph Ziggler discussed the Rock’s return and how it may benefit him. Here is what he had to say…

“He is back to bring more eyes to WWE than maybe wouldn’t have been on them. The whole thing is to get a new audience to cross over and enjoy our show. In the long run, him being in that spot and coming back and giving back to WWE will bring – hopefully – lots of eyes who normally wouldn’t see it.

They go, ‘Hey, I’m going to watch WrestleMania for The Rock. Oh, Dolph Ziggler stole the show. I’m going to watch next Monday when Rock isn’t around.’

“We used to be like, ‘Oh, he’s in a couple of movies, he’s coming back.’ But, he’s a huge star. It’s great for WWE and just another feather in his cap for him.”

    Dolph Ziggler couldn’t be more wrong.

    Old WWE fans tune in just to see the stars of when WWE was the most awesome thing in the world. As soon as those stars leave so do they.

    The reason the ratings will once again plummet again after The Rock leaves is the same reason the ratings dropped the week after RAW 1000.

    Vince does not want to accept that the only way to get WWE back on the game is to drop the PG rating and go back the way they were in the Ruthless Aggression Era.

    But Vince doesn’t want to do that… so what does he do to “Solve” the problem? Bring back old stars or himself to pick up the ratings..

    But that’s the thing… That only solves the problem TEMPORALLY… it’s NOT a real solution.

    Dolph is absolutely right. WWE is great and as soon as fans tune in to see it they will be hooked. This is one of the best rosters in years, and the ratings will continue to climb because it is entertaining unlike TNA’s recycled garbage. Vince is a genius. The next generation of Stars will take the WWE into the next 10 years.
