– The main event of this Friday’s WWE SmackDown telecast will feature Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio in a #1 contenders match. The winner of the match will go on to face Sheamus for the World Title at the Night of Champions pay-per-view.
– Ted DiBiase defeated Jack Swagger in a dark match prior to Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Bakersfield, California.
– John Cena defeated The Big Show in a No DQ match following Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Bakersfield, California.
