Rumored WrestleMania XXX Main Event & Attendance

– At this time, the planned main event for WrestleMania XXX is said to be Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock. WWE has been working hard to keep Rock and Brock separated on WWE TV, due to the plan.

– The all-time attendance record for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is 78,344 for the 1997 Sugar Bowl game, however the building has been reconfigured since then. For example, a sellout for the New Orleans Saints football team is 73,209. For a WrestleMania, since so much of the stadium is blocked off for the stage and other production equipment, a legitimate estimate of how many fans they can accommodate will be around 65,000 fans. In the past, WWE has exaggerated the WrestleMania attendance by up to 10,000 to announce they have broken the venue’s all time record.

    *forehead rub* You’ve got to be kidding me. CM Punk needs to main event the program. He’s already poised himself as a modern main-event Roddy Piper, and he’s one of the hardest working and most peer-respected men in the business. If WWE insists on having Brock in the main event card, have him face Punk and write in Paul Heyman’s loyalties being tested between the two into the story-line. Rocky just concluded WM28 and will rematch with this year anyway.
