SSlam News – Major Changes + Match Scrapped, JR
By Ryan Clark on August 19, 2012
– Despite WWE hyping up all week that Brodus Clay was training for a SummerSlam match with Damien Sandow, a match between the two never took place on the show. There had been numerous Tout “training” videos from Clay throughout the weekend. No word on why the match didn’t take place as of this writing.
– Jim Ross took a swipe at WWE’s past pay-per-view efforts Sunday via Twitter, writing, “SummerSlam has been a ‘clean’ show devoid of bad attempts at humor or endless non wrestling content. Big money matches merit big $$ effort.”
– There were numerous changes made to the WWE SummerSlam card all weekend long. They were still writing the show on Sunday afternoon, just hours before the PPV went live. We’ll have more on this shortly.
