This Week’s RAW Rating – Worst Rating In 15 Years

Monday’s RAW broadcast drew a 2.48 (2.5) cable rating, the program’s worst rating for a non-holiday episode since October 27, 1997 (which drew a 2.3). This is below the rating for the Oct. 1, 2012 show, which garnered a 2.54 in comparison.

The three-hour program averaged 3.55 million viewers, beating a year-low of 3.50 million viewers on Oct. 1. RAW drew 3.58 million viewers in the first hour, 3.65 million in the second hour, and 3.43 million in third and final hour.

Viewership for the third hour was a year-low, below 3.47 million viewers on Oct. 1. It was the tenth consecutive week where third hour viewership was below viewership in the second hour.

It’s worth noting that RAW competed with a presidential debate, game seven of the NCLS baseball game and a Monday Night Football game featuring the Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears so the drop was expected. The presidential debate drew over 59 million viewers.

    You’ve seen one Raw in the last 5+ years, you’ve seen them all. The writing and creative is so stale and repetitive week after week.

    If you didn’t see this coming, you are an idiot. Ratings were at a 3 for ages, spiked when the real stars came back, then have been on a downward spiral ever since.

    I would like to say that this is because RAW sucked… but I would say that the presidential debate was a huge reason for the ratings declined.. All the 18+ demographic was not tuning in.

    It wasn’t even a bad show, but up against the debate, football, and game 7, there’s no way it was going to do a good rating.

    Even though I don’t like the current WWE era the more I hear about ratings the more I get convinced that ratings are made up and I’ve been sceptical on ratings way before I started to watch wrestling. With so many broadcasters on television these days and the fact that ratings are based on samples on people who have their watching habits monitored which doesn’t really seem like they represent a whole nation of people watching TV.
