MUST-SEE VIDEO: Swagger & Colter Respond To Beck

Here is Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter in a new WWE video responding to Glenn Beck’s comments and going completely out of character to do so. Clearly, Vince McMahon is PISSED OFF over Beck’s recent comments. Really, you have to check this one out:

As reported earlier today, WWE made conservative commentator Glenn Beck a public offer to appear on this Monday’s episode of RAW in regard to Beck’s criticism of Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter as a slam on the Tea Party. Beck has responded to the request with a snarky refusal.

Beck said of the offer, “Unfortunately I am currently booked doing anything else.” Hah!

So much for that…

WWE sent out the following on Friday …

WWE® INVITES GLENN BECK TO GET RAW

STAMFORD, Conn., February 22, 2013 – WWE has extended an invitation to talk show host and political commentator, Glenn Beck to appear live this Monday on Raw, in response to a segment that aired on TheBlaze TV yesterday. In the segment, Beck references WWE as “stupid wrestling people,” when criticizing a recent WWE storyline involving WWE characters Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio®, Jack Swagger® and Zeb Colter®. WWE is giving Beck the opportunity to address our 14 million weekly viewers and our global fan base, as he believes we are offending our “conservative” fans with this storyline.

Similar to other television shows and feature films, WWE is in the entertainment business, creating fictional characters that serve as protagonists or antagonists. To create compelling and relevant content for our audience, it is important to incorporate current events into our storylines. WWE is creating a rivalry centered on a topical subject that has varying points of view. This storyline was developed to build the Mexican American character Del Rio into a hero given WWE’s large Latino base, which represents 20 percent of our audience.

        How is it punishment for Swagger? It seems Vince McMahon might push Swagger even harder to spite idiots like Glenn Beck to generate even more controversy. Controversy = ratings.

    Dutch Mantell is the fucking man, Swagger too. I really love how Zeb say’s to Swagger get back in character and then BOOM they are back cutting a promo on Del Rio hahah. Fucking Incredible! #WETHEPEOPLE!

    This is very petty on WWE’s part. They made a big deal out of inviting Beck, even promoting the fact that they had invited him on their website–as though it was a given that he’d accept. When he turns them down, they lash out with a video of two of their guys ranting at him. It’s childish as hell. They never should’ve even promoted on their site that he’d been invited until he actually accepted. They set themselves up to look stupid and it’s entirely their own fault.

    What the fuck is that bullshit? There goes all the heat on that feud…it is a shame because this is not going to get as much heat as it could have. By the way, do you know Corporations like illegal immigrants? they can hire them and pay them nothing and work them all day without giving them any rights as if they were citizens. They create a drug war and a violent border so Mexicans needs to escape.

    They shouldn’t give idiots like Glenn Beck any attention. With everything going on in the world Beck decides to target a WWE angle for his commentary. If you have every listened to Beck for two minutes you would understand what a complete lunatic the guy is.
