Rapides Coliseum
Alexandria, LA

Here are the results for the WWE Smackdown World Tour House Show in Alexandria, LA at the Rapides Coliseum

The arena was about 65% full, my section 314 had to be moved to another section due to water leaking onto the floor and seats but other then that the setup with the small titantron and ramp was great!

Matt Striker was introduced and was tonights ring announcer, He welcomed everyone and pumped up the crowd.
Twitter was mentioned, Tout was mentioned, even a email address that you can send pics to put up on the titantron and the marque outside Rapides Coliseum.

(1) The Great Khali vs. David Otunga

Khali seemed like he was having trouble walking tonight he looked very stiff and even had trouble crossing the top rope during his ring entrance, next was David Otunga, he tweaked his entrance tonight it reminded me of Chris Masters. no music no titantron, just him posing to some kind of weird music then silence and his original theme hit. This match was your basic, Khali is a powerhouse-Otunga does little damage then takes a brain chop match. Khali wins by pinfall.

A video was showed of 3MB saying how they are going to destroy Justin Gabriel and whoever he teams with tonight.

(2) 3MB Vs. Justin Gabriel & Bo Dallas

3MB did there usual entrance with the air guitars and rocker motions, Justin Gabriel came out and I was a bit surprised to see Bo Dallas with him. The match started off slowly mostly Heath Slater air guitaring and such, it was a decent match though, Bo Dallas did really good and Justin Gabriel finished the match with the 450 Splash, which is amazing to see in person!

(3) Aksana vs. Alicia Fox

PEE BREAK TIME! but in all seriousness this match went on for way too long. the crowd was flat for this one and it was even more terrible that i had two kids in John Cena gear with Sin Cara masks on Screaming “TAP OUT” over and over and over again every time a hold was put on the wrestlers. The match turned toward the end into an actually good match with Alicia Fox getting the win.

A video was shown of Wade Barrett talking about how he is going to show the deep south how a man is really supposed to be and that he will defend his IC Championship against Kofi Kingston tonight

(4) Wade Barrett vs. Kofi Kingston
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

This was a great match and would really be good to have on a PPV card. Wade retained the IC Championship after hitting the BullHammer on Kofi. After the match Wade returned to the ring to deliver again and it was countered into a Trouble in Paradise by Kofi.

after the match Matt Striker announced they would take a 15 min. break and return with more action.

(5) Damien Sandow vs. Sheamus

Matt Striker announced that tonight we were to receive a bonus match and introduced “The Savior of the Masses” Damien Sandow. Sandow came out with a microphone and belittled us poor Louisiana folk. He started asking his 3 questions and was interrupted by Sheamus. This was another top notch match and the crowd was really into it. I enjoyed it except the John Cara Kids screaming in my ear every 5 seconds but Sandow did a great job but was dropped by the Brogue Kick to snare Sheamus a victory.

(6) Yoshi Tatsu Vs. Fandango

YAWN!!! I think Fandango won…If i think about it the Diva’s Match is not the PEE BREAK moment of this show now, this match is. Yoshi has great in ring work but the Fandango Character is God-Awful, they need to take Johnny Curtis back and repackage him into something else, a 3 year old kid with a crayon could create a better persona then Fandango.

(7) Randy Orton Vs. Cody Rhodes
LOUISIANA LIGHTNING NO DQ MATCH

Cody Rhodes came out with the Caterpillar on his lip then I HEAR VOICES…Randy Orton came out to a loud pop. when both men were in the ring, Matt Striker shoved WWE ACTIVE in our face and said 95% of the votes for tonights match was for a NO DQ MATCH. it was out of that and a 2/3 Falls match. This was a really good match easily best match of the night. the finish was Cody was thrown into a chair he had set up in the turnbuckle then hit by the RKO for Orton’s Win. I must say Orton was very Fan Friendly tonight, he went all the way around the ring up the ramp shaking hands and then walked back and went up the other side of the ramp shaking hands. I can just feel the Heel turn coming soon!

(8) Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio

Big Show came out first and had a microphone, he said that here in Lafayette, Louisiana…and no I didn’t mistake that…that he was invoking his rematch clause tonight, he then was corrected about a fan that this was Alexandria,Louisiana, Show said it didn’t matter this was a dump and he was getting his championship back from a fluke Mexican tonight…right here in Baton Rouge,Louisiana. I laughed. Del rio came out minus Ricardo Rodriguez wearing his newly acquired WWE Heavyweight Championship. This match was a bit of a let down, you could really see the fake hits and missed moves. the finish was Del Rio ran Big Show into all four corners hitting his Enziguri until Big Show fell down and Del Rio got the win.

After the match Big Show got back on the mic and said that It’s our fault that he lost and it should be a crime that he had to fight for a championship in such a dump as this place…sadly i agreed after getting my pants and back soaked with water from a leaking ceiling. Sheamus then rushed the ring and hit a Brogue Kick to end the show!

Matt Striker thanked the fans for coming and told us to tune in Monday for RAW’s 20th Anniversary Show!
