WWE House Show Results 8/31: Sydney, Australia

Friday night’s Raw show from All Phones Arena in Sydney looked to be about sold-out, so I’m guessing around 16,000 people were in attendance.

Main Event matches:

- John Cena defeated Big Show & John Laurinaitis in a handicap match.

- WWE champion C.M. Punk defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the WWE Title. This was easily the best match of the night. Punk was an all-out babyface and the crowd ate up Bryan’s Yes!/No! chants.

Undercard matches:

- Santino beat David Otunga.

- WWE tag champions Kofi Kingston & R-Truth beat Primo & Epico to retain the Tag Titles after A.J. reset the match due to Rosa interfering.

- Zack Ryder beat Tensai.

- IC champion The Miz beat Alex Riley to retain the Intercontinental Title. Miz worked very hard to get Riley over.

- Divas champion Layla beat Rosa Mendes to retain the Divas Title.

- Brodus Clay beat Jack Swagger in the opening match. Of note, only Naomi accompanied Clay to the ring.

Overall, the show was the best one I have been to here in Sydney and the near-sold-out crowd created a great atmosphere.
